Day 1 -

After arriving in Colombo airport we will drive you to the hill capital Kandy. Allowing a couple of hours for rest you will visit the temple of tooth, the most sacred place for Buddhists in the country . Afterwards you will attend the cultural dance show to witness  the colourful and mesmerizing performance of  folk dances. This magnificent display of Kandian folk dances features acrobatics , costumes and drumming associated with religious ceremonies and rituals over centuries. Some of the dances are depicting the graceful movements of birds and animals which is very unique to Kandian school of dance. Then a brief visit to the Buddha on the hilltop to see spectacular views over the city at the sunset.

Day 2 -

After breakfast you will be headed to Royal Botanical garden in Peradeniya, a marvelous botanical garden with a large collection of wonderful trees and plants. After a relaxed stroll along garden paths you are ready to set off for Nuwaraeliya, the British colonial resort town up in the hills which is called "Little England". On the way you will have the chance to see the spectacular  'Bambarakanda'' falls. Reaching the hill station and checking into your hotel you will take some rest before going to have a leasurely stroll in the beautiful victoria park or a take a boat ride in Gregory Lake .

 

Day 3 -

After breakfast you are heading to Horton plains, the world heritage highland plateau which is home to an extraordinary range of fauna and flora including several endemic and endangered species.  Half way along the trail will bring you to the world's end , a 800 m straight drop precipice. The world's end view point offers you stunning views over the valley below in a sunny day.  Arriving back at your hotel you have the rest of the day for resting.

 

Day 4 -

This morning you have the time to explore a few attractions in Nuwaraeliya town until the train time . You will get the train from Nuwaraeliya to Ella which goes through the most picturesque part of the central hiils. This is perhaps the most scenic train ride in the world. Ella, a charming , laid back village lying amongst idyllic green hills is the perfect place for relaxation. Checking into your hotel you have the whole evening to rest. 

 

Day 5 -

After breakfast you will head back along the railway track to the famous nine arches bridge, constructed by colonial Britishers and regarded as an engineering marvel at the time to catch a glimpse of the famous blue train slowly sliding over it in its morning ride. And its time to snap some epic photographs capturing surrounding hills in glorious sunlight. Afterwards you will be driven to a charming Buddhist temple a a few kilometers outside the city center. Back in the hotel you have a few hours to take rest before going to have a thrilling hiking experience , climbing the little Adam's peak. Named after its much larger big brother sacred Adam's peak ,for its similar shape , Little Adam's Peak boasts of spectacular panoramic views of surrounding mountains and a easy hike of about 45-60 minutes.

Day 6 -

We are leaving for Belihuloya , the last stop over in the tour . On your way you will visit the scenic view point , Lipton seat . This is the place Sir Thomas Lipton , a pioneer in Sri Lankan tea industry used to sit and survey his vast empire  of tea plantations. The look out offers stunning panoramic views of rolling lush green tea fields framed by dramatic mountains all the way out to the southern coast . Next visit a tea factory set up by Sir Lipton himself to see the whole process of tea production in great detail. Next we continue on to Diyaluma falls, This stunning spectacle of nature is the second highest water fall and the most impressive one  in Sri Lanka. Winding up a fascinating journey we reach Belihuloya , a charming village for our last stop over.

Day 7 -

The last morning of your Sri Lanka trip , if time permits you will have a chance to explore the calm and serene surroundings of the village. Afterwards we will proceed to Colombo air port your departure flight.
