Day 1 -

​

Arriving in Colombo airport you will be picked up and headed to Benthota where you will spend the first two nights.  Benthota is the  premiere beach resort town in Sri Lanka. Known for its long white sand beaches and many varieties of water sports this sun seekers' paradise offers you the best spot to have your dream holiday. After checking into your hotel the rest of the day is free for you to have a relaxing time in the calm and serene atmosphere in the picturesque Benthota beach.

Day 2 -

​

Apart from morning and evening beach time you can take a boat ride up the river for a chance to spot aquatic birds and enjoy the mangrove scenery. or take part in other water sports like jetskiing, waterskiing,wind surfing or kite surfing or go on a day time hiking picnic to a small mountain locally called Little Adam's Peak some 10 miles inland ( This tour will cover one activity of your choice out of the above ) 

 

Day 3 -

After breakfast you will be heading for Galle. Visit Turtle Hatchery in Kosgoda and take a boat ride in beautiful wetland ''Maadu Ganga'' on your way to Galle. The turtle hatchery was established in 1988 to protect Sri Lanka’s turtles from extinction. Since then it has released about 3.5 million baby turtles into the sea. Maadu Ganga is a complex coastal wetland eco system with its unique mangrove vegetation lines and caves. Afterwards we proceed further down the coastal belt to Galle for the next stopover. After checking into your hotel you can have the rest of the day to spend on the stunning Kokgala beach. The relatively unexplored and pristine beach of kokgala, a long and wide stretch of sand is a paradise for beach lovers.

Day 4 -

 

A couple of hours on the beach this morning and next  you will take a visit to the  world heritage Dutch fort in Galle. Built by the Portuguese in 16th century  and later fortified by the Dutch in 17th century and by the British in 19th century, this charming , alluring and awe-inspiring monument is a must see during your Sri Lanka tour. You will find this exotic enclave a delight to explore on foot. Wonderfully get lost amongst its rambling laneways and walk past imposing Dutch style buildings, ancient churches, grand mansions and stylish cafes. stroll along the ramparts and admire the imposing structures like the famous Galle Lighthouse and  Galle Clocktower. Also enjoy magnificent  views  over the city and the cool breeze sweeping across the Indian Ocean. Afterwards we will climb up the perennial Rumassala hill on the other side of the Galle harbour to see the beautiful white pagoda up on the hill and take in the astonishing vistas over the Indian ocean. Our next visit to a cave temple in a nearby village. You will be enchanted by the calm and serene atmosphere of the place which is truly soul soothing. Coming back to the hotel you can enjoy a beautiful evening on the gorgeous  Kokgala beach. Explore the beach, see the stilt fishermen, look for lucky encounters of turtles or go on surfing or diving & snorkelling. ( The tour will cover one sport activity here)

Day 5 -

​

Today we are heading to Mirissa. En route visit Martin Wickramasingha folk museum in Kokgala to have some glimpse into the simple lifestyle of village folks a century before. This interesting place has exhibits relating to work, arts, crafts and culture of local life. Also the ancestral home of Mr.Wickramasingha who is the most prolific writer of 20th century Sri Lanka, has been preserved and it has many exhibits relating to his life and work. Then we explore the surrounding area a bit , seeing the Kokgala Lake and the air strip to capture some nice pictures. Then we proceed to Mirissa and after checking into your hotel you can enjoy a relaxing evening on the stunning Mirissa beach , a golden sand beach fringing two sandy bays separated by a rock island.

Day 6 -

​

Mirissa is perhaps the best place in Sri Lanka for whale watching and if you come to Mirissa whale watching is never to be missed. We take an early morning boat ride to watch whales and dolphins in their playful summersaults and dance on the waves. Rest of the day all for total relaxation on the beach. Explore a number of attractions along Mirissa beach including Parrot Island,Taprobane Island,Palm tree hill and secret beach .

Day  7 -

​

After spending a couple of hours on the beach in the  morning leaving for Colombo air port. If time permits we will take a short sight seeing visit to Colombo which will probably include beautiful Gangarama temple by the lake and a stroll along the Galle face green.
